Intro
Official Start Date - 5/26/15
I've been a competitive athlete for most of my life and actually do love sports and physical activity. I also love vices like bad food and especially alcohol. I've been a yoyo eat-well-er my whole 20's and go in and out of period of being really really disciplined about exercising.
I was doing Orange Theory for about 4 months when I hurt my hand and stopped going because of the rowing and hand-weights involved, but then I also stopped working out altogether for no particular reason. Combined with 2 weekend trips, nice weather, and lots and lots of drinking, brings me to where I am today - slightly chubby and out of shape again.
I'm getting my shit together once and for all, for myself, for my husband, and for my trip to Hawaii looming on the horizon. I'm going to be trying a few different theories on eating, and various workouts and classes (via ClassPass at first until I find something I like). I'm going to commit to keeping up reviews on classes I try, recipes I like (or don't like ) and my progress.
